Why I Fight: Stephanie
Why I Fight: Stephanie = What’s your name, where are you from, and what do you do?
I’m Stephanie! I grew up in Massachusetts and I have lived in VA, Costa Rica, and Guatemala! My best friend and “soul sister” Christina and I started Soulfu3l. It is a sustainable wellness consulting business that specializes in nutrition consulting, meal prep, planning, cooking lessons, and being as WILDLY FREE as possible. We believe there are two types of food:
- Actual food that nourishes your body- keep it real, balanced, and freakin’ delicious.
- SOULFU3L- what you feed your soul…adventure, connection, friendship, taking risks, music, dance, style, giving back. Soulfu3l is about nourishing with food that will fuel your soul so you can live with passion and purpose.
What makes you a fighter?
I sold all my belongings a few years ago and booked a one-way ticket to Central America and lived on farms and different villages for two years. I learned the LESS I had the happier I was. I am a fighter because every day I prioritize what I know is most important; connection, community, health, love, and gratitude.
What do you fight for?
I fight to get out of my head and into my body and HEART. I fight to be the healthiest version of myself – mentally, emotionally, & spiritually so that I can GIVE BACK to others and help people realize they have so much PURPOSE and deserve to be happy, healthy, and FREE. I fight to live with as much passion as possible so that it can spread to others.
What inspires you to take the hits and keep on fighting?
The “hits” are merely speed bumps & an indicator to reroute, redirecting us on a better path. So the hits are necessary and pretty rad.
What is your Fight Fuel?
SOULFU3L! We are always creating delicious and healthy food to energize, inspire, and nourish fighters. check it out www.soulfu3l.com
What is your Fight Song?
Nahko, Medicine for the People “wash it away”
What’s your favorite EverybodyFights class?
George’s BAGSxBODY class!
Who is your favorite EverybodyFights Trainer, and why?
Edwin. He has an incredible ability to use metaphors to help deepen my understanding of boxing. In his classes I understand the why instead of just mindlessly punching the bag.
How do you Fight It Forward?
Each day I give in any way I can- no matter how small. Every week we provide meals to a person going through a hard time that is in need of nourishment. If you know of anyone let me know!
