WHY I FIGHT | JOSHUA MORRIS
What’s your name, where are you from, and what do you do?
My name is Joshua Morris; I’m originally from Philadelphia Pennsylvania , and I’m a full time coach and personal trainer.
What makes you a fighter?
My indomitable will to never give up.
What do you fight for?
I fight to make a conscious effort to become a better version of the person I was the day before.
What inspires you to take the hits and keep on fighting?
My commitment to self-improvement inspires me to take the hits and keep on fighting; I truly believe that by seeking to improve one’s self we have the power to create a ripple effect that impacts and encourages those around us.
If you could fight side-by-side with one person, past or present, who would it be?
My sister, Ashley.
What is your Fight Fuel?
Each day that we have here on earth is a beautiful gift; while our time is limited, how we chose to use that time is all that matters in the grand scheme.
What is your Fight Song?
Two way tie between Kesha’s “This is Me,” and Panic at the Disco’s “High Hopes”.
What’s your favorite EverybodyFights class?
I have a two-way tie between Bags and Body and the Road and Triathlon classes.
Who is your favorite EverybodyFights Trainer, and why?
Lauren Keenan is hands down my favorite EBF coach. Lauren continually takes the time to not only provide quality coaching in each and every one of her classes, but also strives to make personal connections with each of her clients. Lauren invested in my personal journey first as an athlete and now as a coach; she is a mentor, a friend, embodies servant leadership, and epitomizes what it means to be a true coach.
How do you Fight It Forward?
What excites me most is the opportunity to encourage and work with those that seek to improve along their own fitness journey.
