WHY I FIGHT: Ana Alarcón
Ana Alarcon – What’s your name, where are you from, and what do you do?
My name is Ana Alarcón. I am originally from NJ, but grew up in México. I bounce the city doing full time fitness, besides working at EBF, I also write in my blog, where I share my favorite recipes, fitness classes and travels.
What makes you a fighter?
My passion and will. While growing up, I always knew I wanted to do something different. So when I found my passion, I fought for it. I put my soul into it until the end. Also, losing my twin brother has made me realize that we only have one life, and that to enjoy it we have to live it to the fullest.
What do you fight for?
For the people that want to do more. For those days that getting out of bed seems impossible. I fight to stay strong in the good days and stronger in the bad ones.
What inspires you to take the hits and keep on fighting?
“Love people, use things. The opposite never works.”
My friends, family, and community. Getting up and keeping going for them is what keeps me going.
If you could fight side-by-side with one person, past or present, who would it be?
I will say George Foreman; I think he will totally knock me out but it would be cool to say I fought to him.

Who is your favorite EverybodyFights Trainer, and why?
Candice Peak and Eliza Shirazi are a truly inspiration. They both bring their A-Game to every class, always with a smile and making you feel like a real fighter.
How do you Fight It Forward?
By always being kind and having only good vibes. I’ve learnt that a smile can change someone’s mood completely.
