Alex Rodriguez had front row seats to an Evander Holyfield boxing demo on Tuesday.
The former baseball player and heavyweight champion were spotted at Midtown boxing gym EverybodyFights along with a camera crew that was capturing Holyfield’s legendary moves.
A-Rod, who wasn’t in workout gear, but opted for a light-colored sweater instead, was seen giving cues and chatting up the 56-year-old as cameras flashed. While it looked as though the pair were working on something together, a source told us, “There was no word on what was happening or why.”
“It was just surreal to see two legends standing around,” the source said, adding that Holyfield was shirtless at one point showing off his abs.
“Whatever you’re selling me, I’m gonna listen,” Rodriguez, 43, was overheard saying to the boxer.
Fellow fighters in the gym, which was founded by George Foreman III, were completely surprised by their visit. Holyfield signed boxing gloves, took pictures for fans and adorably gave advice to a son of a production crew member.
EverybodyFights celebrity clientele has included Ryan Seacrest, Michael Strahan, Canelo Alvarez and Amir Khan.
